Shipping and delivery inside Jordan: control cost, keep customers happy

5 min read

Delivery is the part of your store the customer physically experiences. A good delivery brings them back; a bad one cancels out all your marketing effort. Here is what to set up from the start.

Price delivery clearly

The best approach is simple and understandable: one flat rate inside Amman and another for the rest of the governorates. Complicated pricing makes customers hesitate.

If you want to raise order value, offer free delivery above a certain amount instead of discounting your products.

Set a delivery time and publish it

Write the expected delivery time on the product page and at checkout, and separate Amman from other areas. Keeping a realistic promise beats making a fast one you cannot deliver.

  • Stated delivery time inside and outside Amman
  • An order confirmation message as soon as it arrives
  • A notification when the order goes out for delivery

A written return policy

A clear return policy reduces disputes and builds trust. State the return window, the acceptable condition of the product, and who pays return shipping. A short, direct page beats a long vague one.

Treat returns as a number, not a surprise

Log every return and its reason. After a month a pattern appears: inaccurate photos for one product, missing sizes, or a problem area for delivery. Fixing the cause is far cheaper than absorbing the cost every month.
